I recently asked why Faena chose the Miami River. The answer was that great cities grow around their rivers, while Miami has never fully grown around this one. Now Faena is making the stretch of river beside Brickell a destination of its own.
Faena’s Miami River district is planned across three blocks, anchored by two residential towers connected by a 45,000-square-foot cultural space. The Faena name extends to Miami Beach, New York, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Tulum and Wadi Safar.
What interests me most is that Faena is bringing the same mix of design, hospitality, culture and wellness it has developed in global destinations to the Miami River. For buyers whose lives already span several cities or countries, that means they do not have to leave Miami to find the residential experience they seek elsewhere.
